Chapter 2: 9 Tips to become proficient in al-Qur’an. |
|
Tips # 7: Unrestraint al-Qur’an from the limitation of people, time and place.
There are some people who think that al-Qur’an is only for the Muslims at the time of its revelations. They said; al-Qur’an is only for the Arabs who ate wild iguana (dhab) during the desert time. Today, al-Qur’an has no benefits for the Muslims except for recitation of its verses as part of religious obligation.
In actuality the role of al-Qur’an is free from the limitation of human, time and place. It is not deniable that in al-Qur’an there are verses which originally talks about certain individual, race, place, event, and so on. Nonetheless, while we are studying and trying to gain benefits from al-Qur’an, what taken are the lessons in general and not specification of individual, time and place involved. Look at Tips #6 above, where we take advantage on the generalisation of the verse which originally talks about the Battle of Uhud.
