Chapter 3: How to make use of the narrations in al-Qur’an?
In the previous chapter, when we discuss Tips #4, the author mentioned that we should realised that al-Qur’an is revealed for us. When studying it, we should presume that it is ineracting with us. There will be question on how we interact with histories as revealed in al-Qur’an. In al-Qur’an there are narrations about the People of the Book (Ahlil Kitab) that is the Jews and Christians while we are not Jews or Christians. In al-Qur’an there are narrations about the earlier Prophets while we are not from the people who were among those Prophets. Then how do we make use of such narrations? What follows are discussions and explanations on how we utilise such narrations in al-Qur’an.
